
“They’re gonna send ya down the line to Goodna girlie, just ya wait and see,” the old lady hissed through her missing teeth. “They’re gonna do ya over real good,” she chuckled as she grabbed a fresh cigarette from the packet of Winny Blues. She used the almost finished cigarette to light the new one. “Just ya wait and see.” Her eyes glazed over. “Me Margaret was sent to the Home, said I wasn’t looking after her good ‘nuff they did. Never saw her again.”
